I'm working on halophytes, "salt loving" plants, that thrive and survice wild in natural salty soils. These plants, in opposite to sensitive species, like salt and use it as nutrients for their growth and survival. So they accumulate it in their leaves and stems without causing toxicity. I would like to try applying EIS as a quick and non destructive methods to follow the movements of salt ions through plant cells.
