You can definitely confirm hypertension in rats by echocardiography. I f you are investigating pulmonary hypertension, you can also try right heart catheterization.
THANKS , but without echocardiography, because facility is not available in lab , just by taking ECG and analyzed by HRV analysis soft ware (i.e interpretation of frequency domain, and time domain ) is it possible ?
Dear Arbind, HRV in the frequency may provide info regarding cardiovascular autonomic modulation in health and disease, but not diagnose or label a disease or a condition. Indeed, similar changes in HRV maybe present in hypertensive as well as in heart failure patients or animals and so on. What is important is that HRV may signal when the autonomic modulation are abnormal and, most important, the dynamic changes in response to stimuli in different physiological and pathological conditions.
