The following literature talks about heavy metal in human serum. Read this article and may help you in your reasrch. http://labmed.ascpjournals.org/content/42/12/735.full
I'm not sure if you mean what are the actual levels found in humans are or what the guidelines are. There are levels of concern for blood levels set by the US CDC, Australia, and Germany for lead, by Germany for cadmium, and Germany and the USA for mercury. Levels in population in developed countries are generally below these levels, but levels in developing countries can be much higher as a result of environmental contamination. For example, blood levels of lead in pregnant women and children in some parts of Nigeria have been shown to be frequently greater than 90 ug/dl and have caused several child deaths.
You might find this paper useful - it contains a collection of levels of Cd, Pb and Hg found in pregnant women in developing vs developed countries, plus some information on international levels of concern. I'm sure there will be similar reviews for data from children.
Hi, the level of heavy metals in the blood of persons is dependent on the environment and level of exposure to the metals especially with occupation of the concerned persons. They are higher in the developing Countries due to contamination and improper management of the environment unlike the developed World. So, it is better to set standard base on your locality and not generalizing.
