Can anyone suggest to me any improved characterization methods used for development of pigment concentrates?

That is a very broad question. In organic pigments used in the ink/plastics industry most users are interested in the strength of the dispersion, and the viscosity. But the end users are really concerned how the concentrated dispersion will behave in their end system. Examples include....will my colored plastic pellets melt and extrude properly or will my newly made ink print properly.
