I’m trying to extract RNA from anther of GMS line of cotton. I’ve used trazol method and modified CTAB but I didn’t get result.
Is there any suggestion?

you might try the protocol described in the attached paper, which worked for apple and grapevine tissues in our hands and for cotton leaves according to literature.

did you try the RNeasy kit from Qiagen? Because you probably have small samples you might benefit from a kit.. Pay attention to RNAse free working!
We do RNA extraction of anthers in Barley, Wheat etc, and use the RNeasy kit as suggested by Britt Merlaen

To cotton plants the best is InviTrap Spin Plant RNA Mini Kit - Stratec.
You may get best results from Spectrum™ Plant Total RNA Kit (Sigma). The isolated RNA may be directly used for RNA-seq study. The result is better than the Qiagen plant RNA extraction kit.
