Of late I am experiencing very high backpressure during my HPLC runs which I think may be due to some blockage/precipitation in the column. To resolve this issue, I am considering reversing the column and washing it with a strong solvent like Methylene Chloride. My only concern is the health of my column post reversing.....Can anybody share their experience on a similar problem/issue? Do you think this may even alter the retention time?
