I would like to use FlowFISH to measure telomere lengths in patient samples, but a control sample is required with a known telomere length in order to do the analysis. It is recommended to use Southern blotting to determine the telomere length of your control sample....but I do not really want to set up two different techniques in the lab and FlowFISH has some advantages over Southern blotting...
Are there any products (e.g. cell lines) that can be used a control?

In case anyone else is looking for the answer, a cell line that can be used as a reference sample for FlowFISH with known telomere length is the 1303 cell line (https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/FR/en/product/sigma/cb_01051619)
