We have a plasmid of interest and we would like it cloned into a lentiviral plasmid followed by production of particles for infection in mammalian cells.

There are several companies you can buy lentiviral plasmid. I can recommend Addgene or Abmgood. We bought different lentiviral plasmids from those componies and they were all good. You can find bicistronic and tricistronic lentiviral plasmids with a GFP tag in Abmgood. However, packaging plasmids are sold as mix. So, you have to buy a new pack when you finished the plasmid mixture. We tried VSV-G and VPR packaging plasmids taken from Addgene for Abmgood lentiviral plasmid and it worked fine.
I strongly recommend you to buy lentiviral plasmid instead of paticles if you have the facility to produce particle by yourself as it is more sustainable and cheap (but time consuming of course).
