actually, I am looking for a procedure for extraction method to identify organic acids in fungal filtrate by using GC-mas, but I have problems with extraction procedure because it necessary steps to measure by GC-mass.
I used this extraction method of organic acids for fermented agriculture by product with fungus but detection and quantification with HPLC
The extraction of organic acids was carried out using 0.013N H2SO4. Sample and water (1g:5mL) were mixed for 1 hour in incubator shaker, 150 rpm, at 30C. The mixture was centrifuge at 10,000 rpm for 20 min. The supernatant was filter through 0.20µm cellulose acetate membrane
thanks Lliza for your respond, in HPLC must standard of each organic acids should available. but in GC-mass this point not requested. So need extraction procedure for fungi filtrate (supernatant) to extract it before testing in GC-mas. the library of GC-mas should tell us which organic acids that supernatant contain.
if you have any article or procedure please forward it to me.
