There is no blocking in the file you uploaded. And this is not a difficult geometry to mesh. You can easily do it by following the 1st and 2nd tutorial in icem manual.
The file with suffix .BLK is for blocking. Yes you are right the geometry is really simple but the problem is that I can not solve this simple problem. May I have your E-mail that I could send you my file?
it seems you are beginners in the icem that's the reason you facing problems so i suggest that you starting with tutorials and spend some time over icem GUI so at the end you ill able to know the things about icem.
By the way your problem is 3D so you dont have to check 3*3*3 instead of 2*2*2.
& here i attached the icem file with blk and i did the mesh for you so its helpful for you to getting the idea about icem and meshing strategy.
Thanks a lot for your guidance. Yes you are right I'm beginner. I have read tutorial but as you know, in tutorial only says to change the size but do not say which one, how much and why!!!!!!! Also I want to do O-grid with more meshes. On the other hand I checked determinant 2*2*2 and not 3*3*3. The problem that I have is changing which size and how much. You know when I change some sizes, one criterion become better but another criteria worse.
Yes it happens with beginners like once you finished any tutorials from portal then there are some question arise in your mind like why i change sizes & how much change it and so on . and all these questions answer you ill get it yourself when you are starting spend some time with icem. So i suggest try tutorials as much as you can and list out your questions and i am sure you ill get it all your questions answers when you trying different tutorials.
Thanks alot dear Shrish. I got a question. What is y-blocking or quarter Ogrid. I have heard it is suitable for bendings like my geometry. Also may I have your E-mail to send you my geometry and its blocking?
Actually in various geometry O grid, C grid which called as quater O Grid , half O grid and Y grid are used to capture geometry in proper way and for boundary layer.you dont need to bother about it because during learning Icem every new learner come across this confusion that why this various O grids use and how it use & how we select O grid and which O grid are use in a particular geometry so this all questions answers you will get it yourself when you start spend time over icem.
Sure here is my id [email protected] but its will be more comfortable for me if you message me over my research gate profile.
My problem was solved. You know, I blocked it integrated and split it to capture my geometry instead of blocking it part by part. Do you know what is wrong with it?
Its good to know that your problem solved there is nothing wrong in that method basically sometimes its increase the aspect ratio dramatically in specific kind of geometry overall main aim to just achieve good quality mesh which able to capture flow physics properly.
