I am working with a cervical cancer cell line (SiHa) and certain culture conditions have started producing what I believe to be small vesicles or particles in culture, as seen in the attached photo. I have ruled out bacteria/fungal contamination by sending culture media off to a microbiology lab. I am now looking to identify these particles and the mechanisms causing their production. Is this something anyone recognizes? Any suggestions for bio-markers or assays I might use to get to the bottom of this?

Try spinning down media before use.
It might be precipitated or secreted proteins/lipids ..... not sure.

i never worked with this cell line before, but some cancer cell lines produces a lot or debris. You can avoid this changing the media every other day, so you avoid the spreading.
However if this accumulates closer to the cells must be something they produce, if you say you akready checked COntaminations. It does not seem fungus and if it does not move, is not bacteria neither.
Mycoplasma test is a good first thing to check, as celina already suggested
Mycoplasma are not normally visible under light microscopy unless the culture is very heavily contaminated.
