Hi. I'm a newbie in mammalian cell culture and I'm curious to know what these cells are (See sample images below.) We bought the "proprietary" cells from a company and they won't disclose what they are. All I know is that they are nonhuman, mammalian cells.
Any suggestion/idea is appreciated!

what was the purpose you purchased them for from the company? What are the reporter genes involved? What is the name of the company? And how fast do they grow? Answers to these questions are likely to lead to an answer to your question.
They might be hamster, rat or mouse (hepatoma?) cells, but this is just a very rough guess.

Do you know anything about the characteristics of these cells? Example: what is their growth rate, culture medium? Whom did you purchase these cells from? You can share the link for the same.
