TA values higher than 2580 µmol/kg are not frequent in estuaries. I have in situ data with such values and need to compare it with similar occurrences.
Marcos if you look to the data available on SNIRH for the Tagus estuary there are values of total alkalinity of 831 mg/L = 8300 µmol/L which converting to µmol/kg will be on the same order of magnitude as the ones you are searching.
In the Scheldt estuary (Belgium-The Netherlands) you typically have alkalinity exceeding 2.5 mM. See for exemple the paper by Abril and Frankignoule (2001) in Water Research 35, No. 3, pp. 844-850 (freely downloadable).
There is also a database (in Dutch...) with more recent values here:
Go to "physische parameters", choose "Alkaliniteit", choose zone "westerschelde" (downstream part of the estuary - lower values) or "zeeschelde"(upstream part of the estuary-higher values) - then select "filter data" and data will be displayed as a table (you can also download them)
