Due to low density of AFs G1 and B1 in HPLC analyses, we must derivatize the compounds to have the required LOQ. So how can I perform the installation of derivatization unit (UV- LC tech) to the fluorescence?
For a sensitive determination of aflatoxins, aflatoxin B1 and G1 must be derivatized in order to enhance the natural fluorescence. This can be accomplished with ease photochemically, by irradiation with UV light at 254 nm by inserting a device after separation on the chromatographic column.
the volume of the tube motro / UV cell gives no problems in the separation, but could improve increasing by 0.1 units the rate of flow.
Thanks Carmen for your replay, I got it from your paper :
(Validation of a confirmatory analytical method for the determination of aflatoxins B₁, B₂, G₁ and G₂ in foods and feed materials by HPLC with on-line photochemical derivatization and fluorescence detection) 2009.
