Can anybody tell me the way to use surface based rate-dependent cohesive zone model (CZM) in abaqus?

I know element based CZM in Abaqus explicit scheme has rate-dependency but not sure about this rate-dependency in surface-based CZM. Thanks!

Hi Uraching,

Try to get your hands on "Finite element analysis of composite materials using Abaqus" from Barbero. A really good book on FEA and composites applied to Abaqus going over both theory and applications with a section on delaminations presenting the cohesive zone method and a script example showing surface-based cohesive behaviour.

There is also a tutorial from Simuleon that could be of interest to you: "Tutorial 13: Composites, Modelling bond failure with cohesive contact".
