This is Crambionella sthulmanni common jellyfish in east coast of India.

Crambionella stuhlmanni not reported from Kerala. It is common in the South east coast of India. It is an exporting variety of jellyfish.

This species resembles to Lychnorhiza malayesis. It is a Common species in Kerala coast during June-Aug .

It is not Lychnorhiza malayensis. Because the said species should have violet coloured or purple coloured spots on the margin of the lappets. the image shown in the picture has no any spots on the margin of the lappets.

Violet colouration and pointed lappet are the identification Characters of Lychnorhiza malayensis. But some matured specimen loss, marginal violet colouration. Please check the canal systems of jellyfish. Please see the attaching files.
