We are interested in immunizing a mouse model of age-related macular degeneration with anti-abeta antibody to the extreme n-terminus of the peptide. We were counseled by an expert in the field that this most likely would not have any effect because mouse express a form of beta-amyloid that is missing the first 9 or so amino acids. I am having trouble finding a citation that shows this, can any one shed light on this issue?
