Can Amyloid-beta peptides be stored in DMSO and froze in -20C? If so, for how long?

yes, it may be stored in dmso for long; however, dmso may affect fibril formation. if your study will involve characterizing structure or aggregation later on, dmso might not be a good solvent. this article tells us that in dmso, beta sheets are not likely to form: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1236289/.
It is not good to store synthetic Ab in DMSO. Better to freeze in powder form or dry film form at -80. Almost forever
We lyophilize our AB peptides in small 500 mg aliquots and store at -80C. We freshly solubilize our peptide aliquots in sterile DMSO to make stock 500uM and diluted with starve media for every experimental set up. Or we freshly solubilized in 50mM NaOH to make stock 500uM and diluted with starve media.
