I am working on a project which involves evaluating bile acid profile in mice. We have repeated the experiment and have noticed high variability between mice within a given group and the trends no longer similar to our first experiment. The mice were acclimated to our animal facility for 3 weeks and fasted prior to tissue collection. This approach was also taken in the first experiment. Does anyone have any additional insight into what could cause the high variability observed?
