If someone tests positive for COVID-19, is asymptomatic, quarantines for 14 days, and retests after the 14 days are they expected to test negative upon retesting? If they don’t retest negative, are they still infectious? In this case, what is the next course of action?

Donna Lisi Here the possibility of being negative on retest depends on his/her immune systems. And if the result on retest is negative it is quite safe to be discharged according to WHO guideline and other local observations.

Thank you Nusrat! That’s the most thorough answer (and most logical) that’s I’ve read in regards to my question. Haven’t really seen much guidance on this scenario.
Dr. Ciskos did hedge about whether or not a person is infectious. In light of the 2 reinfection cases- one in a young case who has different but only mold-moderate symptoms and an older person who died from the second bout, wonder about infectivity after 2 weeks. Wonder also if these cases are reinfection or reactivation or only partial recovery from the first go around.
