Does anyone else find that they can only tag certain co-authors/colleagues in papers/projects and not others despite them being on Research gate? Is this something with their settings or mine? Obviously, this is not a big issue, I was just wondering (also I don't want to potentially offend anyone by tagging some people and not others- looks like favouritism. When I say tagging, I mean listing their name and linking it with their Research gate profile. I just asked one of my colleagues and he is not aware of why when I type his name, he doesn't appear. He would like to appear so that he doesn't have to enter the project details himself separately).
This is indeed so. I can easily select those who have been coauthors before and also some others (perhaps only those who follow me?), but many members of RG are not shown when typing in their names. E.g., when I type in "Robert", only three users with this first name are displayed, but there are many more on RG. I have had the same problem, couldn't work out a reason why I could tag some and not others.
