In my native country, Lithuania, the younger and older generations are opposed over state social insurance / private pensions funds problem, over modern information and knowledge based instruments and the use of them and, recently - over national traditions and modernity-post-modernity and globalization relation. Are younger and older generations opposed to each other in Your country and what forms does it have? Can it give conflict, massive emigration or any other undesirable form of behaviour? Of course, there are plenty of contradicting assumptions to such my conclusions. This certainly refers only to the tendencies, but not totally.

I think there are not real generation conflicts among scientists but only the usual disagreement between decent people and intellectual parasites. Some of the younger generation do not like to work hard and have high demands for modest performance.
I believe there are a gap between youth and their parents . it is a big problem among Iranian family . it looks social media specially internet and sate-light have effects on this gap.
In my opinion, the differences between the young and old generations is a common phenomenon that can be found in almost all countries just not to say in all. The difference is in the level of the confrontation between both generations in their position on different issues affecting the society in a given country. In some countries the level of the differences Is higher than in others, depending on the culture, history, economic development, social policy adopted by the government, role plays by the young generation in politics and the decision making process, in their position within government institutions, among others.
As to the Netherlands there are potential conflicts between the generations regarding pensions, how to pay for them and who profits in what way. However there are no open conflicts. Of course, there are differences between the generations in terms of attachment to cultural heritage, skills in ICT, and behavioral patterns, but not to the degree that people from any of these generations leave the country because of these differences. There are just differences, that is it. No conflicts.
I think a more interesting question might be; Are there examples of countries that have little to no inter-generational conflict?
Sometimes the outlying examples or contradictions to the status-quo can be just as, if not more, illuminating.
