I'm currently conducting protein labeling using Cy5 maleimide from Cytiva (PA25031).
So far, I have been using the Cy5 maleimide mono-reactive dye from Cytiva, but I recently discovered that there are less expensive Cy5 maleimide options available from other companies, such as Lumiprobe (13380) and clickchemistrytools (1004).
I have compared the structures of each product, but since I'm not familiar with organic chemistry, I'm unsure if the Cy5 maleimides from these other companies are the same as the one from Cytiva. I would appreciate any insights or advice on this matter.

There are some trivial differences in how the structures are drawn, esp around some of the SO3- counterions, but this has no bearing on the use of the product or how it will behave. The Cytiva product has an ethyl group on one of the N atoms, whereas the other two have methyl, thus strictly speaking the structures are not identical. Nevertheless the fluorescent properties are unlikely to be significantly different and I would not be concerned to switch.
They are not the same definitely. Structural differences were indicated above, but no concern about getting a fluorescence signal if the experimental setup for maleimide coupling is accurate.
