Are there any major differences between different exome capture kits for NGS?

Assuming you pick the most recent version of each manufacturers kit are there any significant advantages of one over another? i.e. ease of use, degree of coverage, price etc?

Hi Matt,

You can see the new panel from Life Technologies (Ampliseq Exome Panel) on their website. Go to Ampliseq.com and you can check the coverage of this panel. As far as I know Ampliseq is very easy to use and prepare the library in which take less than 6 hours with less than 1 hour of hands-on time. The amount of DNA you required is 10 ng per pool in All the Ampliseq panel so I am not sure how many pools required on the Ampliseq Exome and how many nanograms with regards the amount of DNA you will need.
