Does anybody have experience using the Qiagen gDNA eliminator with the aqueous solution of a trizol/chloroform RNA extraction? I see a lot of protocols with people using the RNeasy Kit after Trizol/chloroform and DNAse on the RNeasy column but I was wondering if I could use the gDNA eliminator column instead of the DNAse (RNeasy Plus kit).

Well, we can never know how the eliminator column actually works (thats the manufacturer's secret), so until we know, we can't really trust it . DNAase is a tried and tested method to remove the gDNA. If you have primers spanning different exons, you may try and test the efficacy of these gDNA eliminator columns.
