Can you share context? Is this applied for product quality, environmental research, something else?
Initial isolation should include both selective and non-selective media. These selective media are pretty useful for Ps. aeruginosa, tho' rare isolates will be inhibited.
For all Pseudomonas spp. and pseudomonads in general , I'm not aware of any selective medium validated.. Esp. for these, you need a nonselective medium as well.
Thank you very much for your answer. We have isolated several bacteria from the mangrove forest environment. And for the next step, we want to select Pseudomonas species. What is a suitable media that will distinguish Pseudomonas from the other bacteria genera in this step?
Is Pseudomonas isolation agar or Cetrimide agar suitable for this step?
Be aware - those media were developed using clinical isolates rather than environmental isolates. You'll likely recover most but you cant; claim to recover all.
