Are the diluted primers (with nuclease free water) still working if kept at room temperature for 2 weeks?
Probably. I've left some diluted primers on the bench top for close to a week by accident they worked fine. I'd run a quick PCR to see if they still work.
Thanks MacArthur. I will check primers before actual work. But did it give the appropriate bp product.
Yes. Everything worked as it should.
Dear Dr. Hazem
according to our experience the diluted primer will be stable if you left it in room temperature for more than two weeks.
to be in safe side check your control positive in the PCR reaction.
but I prefer to keep the primers in -21 C.
good luck
Thanks Dr. Hosny for your concern. Yes I checked these primers last week with control positive samples and it does work properly.
Best wishes.
