A review that is targeting different studies with a variety of MSCs can include studies that have used Chondrocytes for Osteo arthritis management? Or studies with Chondrocytes should be excluded if they arent fitting in MSCs classification.

Chondrocytes are differentiated chondroblast, which are mesenchymal progenitor cells
Yes ,they are progenitor cells, still some properties are different than mature MSCs,Thank you

Chondrocytes once released from their niche and cultured have shown to acquire positive expression MSC markers
Infact differentiation between chondrocytes and it's progenitors interms of CD markers has been a challenge

There are multiple theories, one of which states that plastic adherence could be the reason for this dedifferentiation
However the following paper shows that chondrocytes as early as 24 hrs in a non adherent environment also start acquiring msc markers
