I'm particularly interested in Structural Simulation. Sometimes I face problems when I wanted to generate mesh in a complex shaped structure using Solidworks. What about ANSYS AIM compared to Solidworks Simulation?
Generally speaking ANSYS allows for greater control over meshing compared to what SWS offers. It is, sometimes, a bit less intuitive for fresh user but with experience from SWS it becomes surprisingly easy to achieve meshes exactly as you want them. Hard to tell what you consider being complex shaped structure but generally speaking from analysis point of view ANSYS structural simulation is worth the time you will spend on transition.
