I have noticed that solution to my comsol model can depend on, mesh, initial guess and also on which solver is being used. I don't know if this can be generalized, but I have noticed this in semiconductor module, but only when SRH recombination model is used. The main problem is that the model throws out some solution always. but without the recombination model, if initial guess is too far away the model is unsolvable, and when it is solvable it always converge to the same solution. so I'm not sure if this is an error with this particular recombination model. I tried refining my mesh, and reducing the tolerance, but this did not solve it.
Have anyone notice similar case or know how to resolve this?

The semiconductor module is a very recent one, and does include errors and is limited.
When we first used COMSOL, long long time ago, we used their mechanical module, and found out results were different from ANSYS. We then found out it was because COMSOL was not taking into account large deformation conditions. Thus we did the same comparison when using the SC module from COMSOL, and compared results with SILVACO, which is dedicated since many décades to SC devices.
You may want to compare your results with SILVACO (or similar tool), in order to validate your simulations (and options) when using COMSOL.

COMSOL is not so good for semiconductor modelling. Similar to Laurent answer, I suggest using another alternative conventional similator: Silvaco or Sentaurus (industry standard), or some free ones: FLOODS/FLOOPS: (uni. of Florida), GSS (github), etc..
I think it will save you time and effort compared to COMSOL.

Yes, you are right. I am also trying to check the effect of carrier lifetime (due to recombination) on the terminal current in COMSOL, but while doing simulation the result does not change with the carrier lifetime. No matter whatever carrier lifetime you choose in SRH recombination it gives the same result. It is better to use some other software which uses the semiconductor physics such as SILVACO TCAD, Sentaurus TCAD etc.
