With Thermo Noran system 7 one might compile a synthetic spectrum: Insert manually weight percents of elements, one by one. You may see the synthetic spectrum and identify the elements (same that you inserted manually) ...and quantify the elemental composition. HERE comes the fun: The quantification shall be totally different than the values you gave.

Is this really how it should work? I have shown this feature to two different thermo EDS sales guys in a EM congress a year ago and both were surprized. However, nothing done afterwards...

I have had a problem for my equipment since 3.2 was installed. Recently, I installed v.4.1.85. Same problem again.
