Hi guys, anyone has idea about the reason why incubate mammalian cell and bacteria under 37 dc but yeast cell under 30 dc? Is there any protein structure that is temperature-sensitive?
These are only optimal temperature for cell growth. Of course protein stability is temperature dependent and adapted to cell physiology (for instance proteins from hyperthermophiles are more stable than their homologues from mesophiles).
Optimal conditions, depending on their way of life. There are pathogenic fungi that grow better at 37 C rather than 30, bacteria that live on extreme conditions etc.
