1- Do all of them produce spores? Some might produce conidia, but no spores
2- A liquid or a solid growth medium? Sporulation mechanism often requires at least a short period of real dryness of the eject-structure (check with your organism / supervisor before killing your samples by drying, please)
Graminicolous helminthosporioid fungi, such as Pyrenophora/Drechslera, often do not sporulate on routine mycological media. Considering that, in nature, they usually live on grasses, you can stimulate sporulation by growing them on poor media (synthetic nutrient-poor medium or simply water agar) enriched with fragments of sterilized wheat straw or maize leaves.
I am also working with these fungi and it gives excellent results.
