Hi Navneet, Look for work by Brian Alloway in 1990s - he looked at fall out of heavy metals (from casket metal work, clothing and from mercury in teeth fillings for example) around crematoria in UK. The impact is measurable.

In Europe there was concern about:
a) mercury emission from teeth fillings
b) soot and unburned organics.
In the Vienna Crematorium now there is electrical burning with a catalytic treatment (the old system used gas burner which created black puffs)..
