BioEdit is an outdated biological sequence alignment editor: http://www.mbio.ncsu.edu/bioedit/bioedit.html
Do you know alternatives for it ? Thanks in advance
Colleagues have recommended AliView, I haven`t had the time to road test it but it might be worth a look.
You can find information about it, and links to download it, here:
http://www.ormbunkar.se/aliview/
You could try ClustalX, SeaView (viewing/editing alignments) or JalView (Java-based, viewing/editing and more). JalView probably has the most options for viewing, editing, and exporting (if you need a PDF or SVG), but is a bit slow at times.
You can check ClustalX and JalView
ClustalX and Mega maybe help to you.
You can use clustal X or Online Clustal W alignment tools.
For everyday use (working with few hundred sequences) MEGA7 offers a very user friendly and rich environment (www.megasoftware.net).
For something more demanding you might need to consider ARB (www.arb-home.de)
I still get Non-specific products & multi-peak Melt Curves despite changing the annealing temperature of my designed primers several times (58C, 59C, 60C, 61C, 62C, 63.7C & 65C). I've also...
