Aluminum hydroxide Production ?

Hi hope you are doing well it is to be stated that as a research engineer i am doing research on aluminum hydroxide and i did rection on lab scale from bauxite and caustic soda . I added milled bauxite ( 55% Alumina ) and then added 45 % caustic solution to it at 150 C and on open flask with no pressure in it the result i obtained is brown alumium hydroxide so my question is

How can i make it off white aluminum hydroxide

Is pressure necessary for aluminum hydroxide production

I have obtained Sodium Hydroxide as a by product
