The main concern is to measure the Government performance after the implementation of the GePG system in collecting its monies electronically from the public. And it has been adopted as per the Government directives.
The question as to how the newly established GePG system has contributed to the increase in revenue as well as the public sector performance in Tanzania I think it should be investigated in the long run perspectives. Some of public institutions has now adopted the system while others are in the process of entering the new system.
To have a clear picture of its contribution to change, there is a need of having a long term sample data (historical data) so that empirical modelling will provide the answers to that.
However, to other African countries who adopted the system earlier than Tanzania, literatures has perceived its contribution but its lack a strong empirical evidence to prove their judgement
Seleman, thank you for your constructive comment, however all public sector institutions have already adopt the system. My question remains valid, has it increased the Government perfomance??
