Active peak shape is not symmetry. its showing 1.9 tailing. please help?

peak is showing symmetry of 1.9.tailing can be seen clearly. The molecule is a weak acid and a polyphenolic compound.

Column: HyperCloneTM BDS, 5 um, 130A 250X4,6mm

Buffer: 0.1% orthophosphoric acid

Mobile phase A - Buffer: ACN 90:10

Mobile phase B (channel B) - MEOH Proportion A/B: 60/40. is the parameter.

I tried using methanol in the place of ACN peak shape is symmetry but poor plate count.

what to be changed. please suggest.

To improve the peak shape of your weak acid polyphenolic compound, lower the pH of the mobile phase and increase buffer concentration to minimize tailing. Additionally, consider using an end-capped column and optimizing the mobile phase composition to balance peak symmetry and resolution.
