I have a question regarding the maintenance of water purification system.
So I replaced the exhausted cartridge with the new ones, and those cartridges exhausted after 5 months (normally the cartridges should live for around 1 year before exhausting), indicating by lower resistivity than 18.3 MOhm.
After replacing new cartridges again, the resistivity still cant reach 18.3. It settled down at 12 ~ and didnt give any sign of increasing. I measured the conductivity of the water (using LoggerProbe) and it is comparable to a "good source" of nanopure water that I got from anther lab, but for some reason the resistivity indicated in our water system still as low as 12.7 MOhm. Is there any possibility that the conductivity cell inside our water system broken or something? Or it needs to be cleaned? Or anything more serious than that?
