Life won't be the same as we had before, there will be few restrictions. Still if you consider the best case that everyone is well vaccinated, then at the end of 2021 things might change.
With the vaccination of at least 40% of the population, a significant decrease in death and hospitalization rates is expected. I think that important improvements will begin in the summer of 2021.
Almu'Atasim Khamees Thanks for your views, Sir. I also think the same, coz I think it will take a bit of time to completely wipe out the pandemic. Let's hope and pray the things to get great again very soon.
Rana H. Raheema Thanks a lot Ma'am for your views. I also think the same, coz I think it will take a bit of time to completely wipe out the pandemic. Let's hope and pray the things to get great again very soon.
Thanks for your views Kevser Kendir Ma'am. As we all know that the widespread vaccination around the world is still months away. Until then, it will be important that everyone continues to take precautions. Continue wearing a mask, maintaining at least six feet of distance between yourself and others, washing hands, and avoiding large indoor gatherings. The more we all do our part, the sooner we'll be able to return to the way of life that we all once knew hopefully. Best wishes :)
Way too early to make predictions about COVID-19 eradication after COVID-19 vaccine!
People are still skeptical about COVID-19 vaccine, initially due to reported Transverse myelitis and multiple sclerosis like features in Astra-Zenica Oxford Phase 3 trial volunteers (1), later on severe anaphylactic reactions in Pfizer and Modera vaccine recipients in those having a history or drug or food allergy(2-3), and now a report of Encephalomyelitis in Mexico (4). Although these complications could be coincidental or due to PEG used in Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, people will be vary of using the vaccines.
Unless about 70% of the population in an area, country and the world get COVID-19 vaccine, 2 dose schedule, it will be premature to say that COWHO would be able to VID-19 pandemic will be really under control.
Due to logistic issues to have at least 14 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccine to cover eligible people with vaccination program, and the fact that vaccine may reach years before it reaches the people in poorest of the poor countries, it may take 2-3 years before WHO may call COVID-19 a sporadic disease.
What the health-care people can do is to lead by example to have the vaccine first as and when it becomes available in their countries.
