Dear researchers,

I am using X-ray films to develop my blots. Even though the bands are good, their quality is getting compromised due to sometimes very fine scratches on X-ray film that may appear after developing the blots, or sometimes one region of X-ray film has contrasting colors compared to others on the same X-ray film. The attached image may help explain my problem.

Another thing I want to ask is how do you wash off the excess developer-fixer and dry the membrane because in a few of my films the streak of one of the components is running over the bands which again leads to compromising of the band quality and producing a heterogeneous contrast in the image.

Thanks in anticipation
