I make a survey of fungi in some petroleum lands in wasit province and I take some soil samples from these lands and I isolates some fungi from such soils.

the Aspergiluus species was Predominant and there some other fungi.

Thanks Dr. Azher, I am sure that some species of Aspergillus and Penicillium are active for biodegradation of petroleum oil like A. niger and P. documbens, but  I looking for the most capable fungi for analyzing oil derivatives. Thanks again for valuable suggestions

I have not done any research on the degradation of petroleum using mushrooms. So far I have only done hydrocarbon degradation research using bacterial isolates.

The use of fungi makes it possible to distinguish PAHs or hydrocarbons generally both in petroleum wastes and possibly on heavy metals, since they are essentially degradation of hydrocarbons by enzymes formed from bacteria as a bacterial response to threats to itself from the environment due to pollution
