Recently, my health minister mentioned about the use of a genetically modified mosquito, in the control of dengue fever. Having been a victim of DENV, I would be glad for measures to control the disease. Besides, the number of dengue cases has increased quite a lot due to the recent rainy weather. But our present method of control is by fogging. Would we be killing the 'good' GM mosquito, along with the 'bad hats', the disease causing mosquitoes?
