Hello! I am working in a mentoring program for young female students to strengthen their interest to STEM fields. We have an activity to identify women who have contributed to environmental engineering (yes, it is important that these woman have this formal university degree for the task). So I extend this question to this community, I hope you can give me some ideas.

I think the most important motivation for a person to be interested in a science is to realize its importance in life and its impact on it. For example, how can I benefit from a law in mathematics in my real life?، How can my awareness and understanding of technology change my life and make it easier?. In summary, how can my learning and interest in these fields facilitate my life and the lives of those I love?.
This subject is all the more important but neglected. In the Cameroonian Sahel_Africa, many environmental resilience methods are implemented by peasant women in the face of climate change. However, they often need a boost from society to improve and make their resilience more efficient for the environment. For example, for the manufacture of clay-based kitchen utensils, drying in the oven was previously done with wood energy. But after I had to raise their awareness about the harmful effects of anarchic wood cutting, and after training them in the production of ecological charcoal, these peasant women invented a method of producing ecological charcoal that meets their needs and is very respectful of the environment. This is a contribution that can be classified among the contributions of women to environmental engineering and which, in our case, is made by peasant women.

I think it can be matter of study about my female counterparts in the field of environmental science.
In this regard, I am to add that love for sustainable co existence and passion to contribute in the field are not gender divisive ...If so we should do a study about the transgender counterparts also....That willl be more interesting in the present scenario
I would mention Olga Malinkiewicz who deals Perovskite Photovoltaics. She brout this technology from laboratory to industry. It can revolutionize the sector of PV.
