While modelling with Mohr Coulomb Plasticity model, the materials Young's modulus wont be affected due to the variation in the confinement pressure of the test condition as the elasticity linked with the model is linear isotropic elasticity. At the same time the models like Drucker-Prager plasticity and Cam clay model have porous elasticity to consider the volumetric change in the material, thereby calculating instantaneous shear modulus. Is there any option to incorporate the confinement effect on the elastic portion as it will effect the plasticity later while the formulation of stiffness matrix. Please advise for a solution. Thanks in advance.
