Dear Dr Emran,

The serum of healed patients contains the antibodies, which when injected into patients will help in mounting an immune response. Convalescent plasma therapy is only useful to treat critically ill patients. However, it doesn't boost the immune system, confering long-term resistance. So it can't be used to make a vaccine/drug against COVID19. The vaccines currently making their way into the market claims to boost the immune system, producing memory B cells and T cells.
