Assume you have 4 treatment groups (A,B,C,D) with five subjects per group. Should one expect your Two- sample T-stats results and conclusion for A and B to be similar to the One Way ANOVA F-test for A,B,C and D treatment grps?
@ Thomas basically what I wanted to know is whether series of two-sample test results will yield the same result as an F-test for ANOVA for the same group....ANOVA looks at comparison of three or more groups while two-sample test looks at only two group comparison...its more like asking if we can do two-sample test to compare all group members in an experiment why then the need for an ANOVA for the same experiment?
Five subjects per group will not be enough to fulfill requisites to perform a valid ANOVA analysis. If your experimental design was sound (e.g. Latin square assignation), with a proper sample size you could obtain both, general variance comparison and group-to-group tests.
