The World is engaged to end poverty through Sustainable Development Goals 2030 agenda.
The content of the agenda is offered to all countries as a unique solution in the world to eradicate poverty. However, each country has specificities and priorities are different from a country to another. What contribute to ending poverty in one country may not be the same in another country due to the development level gap. Developing countries for instance are facing the problem of financing the content of the agenda. For instance the analysis of gross national income 2018 published in world indicator shows that 25% of the poorest countries have a mean GNI of $ 2 926; the next 25% have mean GNI 9685, the next 25 % have mean GNI 21 045, the highest GNI observed in the last 25% have a mean GNI $ 52 201 . At same time all indicators differ accordingly.
It is not the fact that they don't see priorities, but they don't have enough resources to implement the content of the agenda.
If we do not consider the pandemic coronavirus (in the absence of COVID'19), do you think that the solution proposed to eradicate poverty can have same impact on the same level in all countries?

Firstly, it's not only the question of financing. For example, my country, Ukraine, asks the international financial authorities for help due to the problems in government finances. At the same time, our population has big amounts beyond the financial system. This money is not involved in economic activity. Therefore, we can't use its potential for economic growth and reducing poverty. It's a problem of trust at the institutional level and it's too difficult to resolve.
And secondly, there are two dimensions of poverty. They are absolute poverty and relative poverty. We can finish with the first one, but I'm afraid, relative poverty is forever.
Dear Dr Ruslana, thank you for your comments. You point is very important. There is no trust in financial institutions. People choose to keep their money under their beds. The money is not being used for economic growth sake. So, as I mentioned you see that each country has its own priority.
The answer to this question depends on all of us. From our empathy and efforts to realize that poverty is a problem and to take real measures to solve it, not just to declare intentions. It seems to me, that we cannot think in this direction without taking into account the impact of Covid-19. The pandemic changes everything, even traditional perceptions and concepts...

The issue of world poverty is very complex.
it is not a simple problem of finance or resources.
Banks are full of financial funds and the earth can feed twice its inhabitants. And, yet 20% of the world's population has no access to food or to energy!

The issue of poverty will forever be with humankind. Once man is poised to preserve his interest, some will forever remain behind. The rich will become more rich and majority will remain below the poverty line. If man wants to end poverty, he could have done it long ago. The resources needed to end poverty are not non-existent. They can be found.
The SDGs 2030 agenda to end poverty will be difficult to achieve considering the following variables:
-The overbearing dominance of capitalism, where corporations/businesses influence leadership emergence and policy environment of developed and developing nations is a factor. Businesses put profit, market expansion, and product innovation as their critical areas of interest/priority at the detriment of well-being of the people and the planet, which is our common habitat.
To contribute to poverty reduction, businesses should adhere to the principles and practices of Corporate Social Responsibility: responsibility to their employers, responsibility to their consumers, responsibility to government, responsibility to society and responsibility to itself.
-Elite conspiracy, cohesion and consciousness: Understanding elite conceptual and philosophical analytical framework, explains how most elites in every sector of human endeavour collaborate to maintain their position, which in most instances, undermine poverty alleviation.
-Unbridled corruption in the public and private sectors in most countries of the world is another fundamental factor militating against poverty eradication.
-The effects of COVID -19 obviously, is setting the global agenda backwards.
I think, it may be very difficult to end poverty completely, but with genuine political will, the world can reduce or alleviate poverty.

I do not think that poverty will end, for the simple reason that poverty is fabricated by peoples, and the proof of that is that most of these countries possess natural resources that could have improved the social and health status of these countries.

If the world wants to end poverty, it can be done. Should the advanced countries contribute even 2% of their GDP annually to fight poverty globally, by 2030, ending poverty is achievable. The question is, will it be done?

Dear Dr. Francisco Zamora-Polo,thank you for your valuable contribution on this topic. I agree with you when you say " Although these types of resolutions sometimes remain theoretical ". I m completing a paper that aims to evaluates the progress made in increasing economic growth in least developped countries base on the objective 8 on SDGs. According to this objective, economic growth was predicted to increase by 7% per year. However, after five years of the implementation of the Agenda 2030 on the SDGs, the result obtained from 95 countries are deceiving. Compared to 2014, economic growth mean was 4.75 % while it was 3.58% in 2019. This implies that the economic growth is decreasing instead of growing. In the same objective 8 on SDGs, it was expected to create new employment. However, my analysis shows that youth unemployment rate is increasing instead of decreasing. The unemployment rate mean for 95 least developped countries analyzed was 12.8% , and 13.23% respectively in 2014, and 2019.

The efficacy of data generation and management for planning, implementation and evaluation is critical in developing countries' development. The culture of data management is poor and as a result, it affects development outcomes. To address the issue of data gap informed the UK Aid funded project, ''Evidence and Collaboration for Inclusive
Development'', (ECID) intervention in Mayanmar,
Nigeria and Zimbabwe. In
Nigeria, the project aims to generate data of the marginalised population: the adolescent boys and girls, the poor rural women and people with disabilities and use it to engage state authorities to improve service delivery in the following sectors: health, education, agriculture and infrastructure. It would be useful for effective planning based on the existing data and the identified prioritised needs of the poor and vulnerable groups to make policies, plans, programmes and projects that would contribute to poverty reduction based on the demands of target population.

Evidence And Collaboration For Inclusive Development (ECID) Project is a four-year programme funded by the UK Government and supported by Christian Aid which aims to reduce poverty, realize rights and improve the well-being of the most marginalized in Myanmar, Nigeria and Zimbabwe. In Nigeria, the project is currently on going in Anambra and Kaduna states. In Anambra state, the target Local Government Areas are Anambra West, Awka North, Ayamelum and Ogbaru.
The ECID project aims to build the effectiveness of civil society in accessing, gathering and presenting data on the most marginalized. The data should help to empower the marginalized groups and individuals to drive the process of evidence for inclusion in participatory governance and development. The use of data will better demonstrate demand for services and products, and in turn allow duty bearers and those responsible for service delivery, including civil society actors, to cater better, more effectively and more efficiently to those needs.
Evidence and Collaboration for Inclusive Development (ECID) will facilitate evidence-based policy and decision making through the effective use of data to address the issues of marginalized groups and will address four critical areas: Health, Education, Agriculture and Infrastructure. The project has four outcomes:
· Improved access to services by the key target groups in Nigeria
· Increased participation in decision making processes for key target groups in Nigeria
· Improved effectiveness of civil society and other actors at all levels in addressing the priorities of key target groups in Nigeria
· More accountable and responsive power holders (duty bearers) to the priorities of key target groups in Nigeria
The four categories of marginalized groups are Adolescents boys, Adolsecent girls between the ages of 13 and 19 ; People with Disability (PWD), and poor rural women (within the age range of 19 and above living in hard-to-reach communities with low economic status).
Why ECID Project Matters
Nigeria has the highest number of people living in extreme poverty globally (87 million), with these groups being the most excluded and least likely to access services, Policy process does not rely on evidence, therefore, power dynamics within the policy process ensure that those with greater political power have greater advantages, Key issues of service delivery in Nigeria revolve around poor citizen engagement in decision-making, limited access and poor quality of services, exclusionary nature of services, policies and legislation, lack of data or statistical information about marginalized groups, lack of government accountability in spending and policy implementation, A shift to making rational decision-making process based on the use of data as evidence to influence the design of policies is required to address issues that affect the poor and marginalized in the selected sectors mentioned above.
First of all, through the development of sustainable organic farming, in which most or all of the crops are used for the production of food for humans, and not as it is now that, globally, 3/4 of the crops are fed to livestock. Best wishes,
