Solar paint is currently just an ideal product from solution-processed organic solar cells or dye-sentisized solar cells. Fristly, both these two types of solar cell suffers from poor stability and relative low power conversion effeciency now. Secondly, even if the solar paint is available, it is hard to optimized it from the PV system point of view.
I think solar paint can be a good product for the small-scale user-end product, but it can't beat the silicon-based solar cell in the main PV market.
