When we dissolve the commercial standard of GALANTAMINE HYDROBROMIDE in the water or any solvent, Will get separated into Galanatamine and HBr, or will it be bound together?
I am performing HPLC of my plant extract, to find out the GALANATAMINE quantity, for that, I am using "Galantamine Hydrobromide" of SIGMA as a reference standard. When we run an HPLC of Galantamine-HBr alone we are getting a Sigle prominent peak, previous reports suggesting that the peak is Galantamine. Here my question is, in the HPLC graph the peak is GALANTAMINE or Galantamine-HBr?
if it's Galantamine where is the HBr peak, and if it is Galantamine-HBr How can we take it as a reference for quantifying galantamine?
